4-H Youth Development
By far, 4-H is the most known and visible Extension development program, best known for its 4-H Clubs and summer 4-H Camps, but Extension also offers literacy and adult volunteer leadership programming related to 4-H and youth development. There are eight 4-H clubs active in Pleasants County, with almost 200 youths (age 9 to 21) involved in animal, food, and woodworking projects. Each year the summer 4-H brings together kids and leaders for a fun, and educational, camp gathering. For images and information form the 2007 Pleasants County 4-H camp, go here. Each year, 4-H members are encouraged to participate in the the Pleasants County Agricultural Youth Fair.
